WHAT: Roller Derby Convention
WHERE: Las Vegas, NV, USA
WHEN: July 28 - Aug 1 (always the last week of July every year!)
WHO: Derby players of ALL SKILL LEVELS, coaches, league members, refs, posses, fans and anyone else interested in derby.
WHY: Because RollerCon is the one place you can pack this much skating, training, seminars, challenges, bouts, scrimmages, vendors and more and more skating into in 5 days - still.

If you have never been to RollerCon, you will probably be fairly overwhelmed. If you haven’t been in longer than a couple years, you might want to check your expectations. I hear from a lot of vets how they don’t have travel money for a party anymore - which is, really, how RollerCon started. But its only a party now if you want it to be (or you’re injured and can’t skate). There is so much going on at every skill and interest level now that you can get whatever you want out of the RollerCon convention.

RollerCon is what you want it to be.

A training camp.
A place to see amazing skating.
A place to skate with and against people you admire.
A chance to for old dogs to learn new skills.
A spot to to check out the latest in derby gear.
A pool party with the biggest girl gang on earth.
A place for vets to scrimmage without the usual pressure.
A track for beginners to learn on.
A place to go to seminars on any derby subject under the (blazing) sun.
A chance to meet your idols.
A chance to beat your idols.
… and more.

The RollerCon website has been updated and recently reorganized. There is a LOT of info here, so here’s a cheat sheet to help you find the info you might need:

Most of the RC Events have their own page under the EVENTS tab, above. Hover over the word “EVENTS” to see each page. This area gets the most traffic!

If you check out any of the SCHEDULES and wonder why the calendars are blank, for now its because we’re still planning events. Later, once we do have stuff planned, if you still can’t see events, have you scrolled to the right dates?

General info is mostly under the “ ABOUT” link, for example, the history of RC, our p hoto gallery, FAQs, info about getting to the convention and getting around once you’re there, random shit like skate parks in Vegas (there are a LOT of them), veggie eating, advice from attendees about what to bring and what you can expect when you do come - all in the ABOUT section.

Everything about SKATING, like Skating requirements, info about the floors & wheels, insurance, skill levels, and more is under the skating link in ABOUT.

Potential SPONSOR and VENDOR info and all our awesome past sponsors is HERE.

Everything that a person might need to know about REGISTRATION, including hotel, getting RC tickets, wedding, putting together a challenge bout, etc) is under “REGISTRATION

All VOLUNTEER info, jobs available, what you get for volunteering, and how to volunteer in the first place is under the “ HELP WANTED” link.
